This method is an addition to existing web replication methods, that utilize ChangeCompany table command to (directly) write data into another company in the same environment. It means that no web services calls are being made when this method is used, which has some advantages when compared to the Point-to-Point method.
The main advantage lies in its impact on Operational Limits: because it does not rely on web service calls, it does not count toward those limits.
The process to set up what data to send and to which location is done by setting up a scheduler job. For more information see Process.
For each Distribution Location configured as a destination, the following setup is required for this method:
- Fill in the Web Service Company Name, in the Web Server FastTab
- For the Web Replication Method, select option Company to Company from the dropdown.
